Georgia's video game industry accounted for $1.6 billion in total economic activity and the state has about 75 game studios. Atlanta ranks in the top 10 for best cities for gamers and is the #3 city in the U.S. in volume of video game planning activity.

Georgia has become the Hollywood of the south. In 2016, more major feature films were made in Georgia than in California and in 2017 Georgia was the #1 production center in the U.S. for top grossing feature films released at the U.S. box office.
